Yes the stronger the grams the more potent the medication. Higher grams will cause more drying but will be more effective for severe acne. grams have nothing to do with it.....grams are the amount of the cream/ointment you receive. MG are what determines the potency Report Abuse

It denends on which number you are talking about. If you mean the number right after the drug name then yes this is the strength but if you mean the number in small letters near the bottom that would be how much is in the tube aka how many grams of ointment is in the tube.
Huh? Grams? You mean how much is in the container? The directions tell you how much to use and that is the indication of how much medication you are using each time.......not the amount IN the container.
